In earlier years he regularly wrote book reviews. His hobbies included playing chess, bird watching, collecting old and rare books. His library of some 3000 books have been donated to the NIAS library, Bangalore.
Mohandas Moses was a fitness person. He loved swimming and swam wherever he could in swimming pools, sea. He liked horse-riding and won equestrian prizes. He did mountain climbing. In Kashmir and Ladakh he climbed high peaks such as Kardung-la, Jozila Pass, the Zanskar monastery - without oxygen parapharnalia. Reintroduced ski-ing in Gulmarg and inaugurated it by ski-ing a few slopes.

Leela Mazumdar Moulik, B.A.
Grew up in Dhaka where her father was a zamindar and magistrate.
Travelled all over the world with husband Dr. Moulik. Leela Mazumdar Moulik studied at Kamarunissa College in Dhaka. She had a Bachelors degree in Sanskrit, Bengali and English Literature. Diploma in World History from a Washington College. Leela Mazumdar Moulik and her younger sister Bela Mazumdar co-authored a book on the greatest Bengali novelist Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and India's greatest poet Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore which was translated from the Bengali to English by Leela's daughter Aloka. These were incorporated into a book "Profiles of Courage in Indian and Russian Literature" published posthumously in July 2019.

Portraits of Courage in Indian and Russian Literature
The book entitled "Portraits of Courage in Indian and Russian Literature", co-authored by Leela Moulik, Bela Mazumdar, Aloka Chaterjee and Achala M. Moulik. The book narrates the lives and creative works of Alexander Pushkin, Bankim Chandra Chattopadyay, Rabindranath Tagore and Alexander Solzhenitsyn.
Leela's sister Bela was born in Dhaka and grew up there. Her father, R.K. Mazumdar was a member of the Judiciary of Bengal. Bela had her school education there. After her parents passed away and after Indian Independence, she went to live with her brother in Washington, USA. There she studied history and literature. She began writing in Bengali early. Her article on Rabindranath has been translated by her niece Aloka and forms part of the book "Portraits of Courage in Indian and Russian Literature." She was engaged to be married to an American college lecturer but she passed away early at the age of twenty five.
Bela went to study History in Washington D.C. where she wrote on Rabindranath Tagore which her niece Aloka translated. Their brother Ramachandra translated the Bengali fairy tales into English titled "Children's Folk Tales of India" to be published shortly.

Dr Moni Moulik studied at Calcutta University and then Rome University where he obtained a Ph.D. Summa con Laude in Economics. He taught Indian History and Literature at Rome University and later became foreign correspondence in Central Europe for various Indian and foreign newspapers.
Dr Moni Moulik served in the Indian Foreign Service.
Served as First Secretary in Indian Embassies in Washington, Tokyo,
first Director Indian Information Centre, New York.
Director, Food & Agricultural Organization, Rome.
Author of "Politics of British Finance in India", "Italian Economy and Culture", "Billions More to Feed", "Twilight",
